Three homes and one abandoned home in the area were lost in the fire, which spanned 200 hectares. The majority of approximately 1,550 residents who evacuated the Peachland, B.C. area on Sept. 9 and Sept. 10 have returned home, with 416 people still out on evacuation order. Those who have returned home are still on notice to be prepared to leave on short notice should conditions change.
