The product, launching this fall, offers Basic Legal Expense Insurance, and will be included at no extra charge to CAA’s property insurance policyholders with a multi-line auto policy. According to CAA, the basic Legal Expense Insurance coverage will include unlimited access to a Legal Advice Helpline to discuss any personal matter Coverage for reasonable costs incurred pursuing or defending certain personal disputes, such as: Lawyer’s fees Disbursements such as medical reports, expert witness costs and court costs Opponent’s legal costs should you be required to pay them In addition, CAA will also offer “optional personal and business packages for a wide range of issues at a low annual premium,” the company announced. “Many simply can’t afford to have their day in court,” said Matthew Turack, VP, CAA Insurance Company (Ontario). “We hope this legal expense protection will help alleviate the emotional and financial strain associated with unexpected legal disputes.” Canadian Underwriter Print Group 8 LinkedIn LI X (Twitter) logo Facebook Print Group 8
