Robert V. Pearson, CLA, FCIAA, of Hansen Labelle Adjusters Ltd. in Calgary, was given the Honourary Life Membership Award at the CIAA annual meeting in Banff on September 14. Bob, who has worked in the adjusting business since 1959, was presented the award by Crawford & Company’s Jim Eso. In his speech, Eso noted that the award is the association’s “highest honour” and is “bestowed upon only those members who have gone above and beyond in serving and furthering the objectives of this association.” Eso outlined Bob’s remarkable career, including his role as control adjuster of the 1988 Winter Olympic Games in Calgary. “I am proud to call him a colleague and a friend, and the adjusting fraternity is proud to have you as a representative symbol of what we do every day,” Eso said. “We applaud your excellence and your unselfish contributions to further the aims of CIAA.”
