In total, there were 381 offences related to alcohol or drug use while driving, including: 38 zero Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) (zero to .08) offence (new drivers) 79 low BAC (.04 to .08) offences (experienced drivers) 264 high BAC (over .08) Criminal Code charges Saskatchewan has a zero drug and alcohol tolerance policy for drivers under 19, and for all drivers in the Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) program and Motorcycle GDL program. In December, police also issued 1,847 tickets for speeding, 135 tickets for cellphone use while driving, and 171 tickets to people not using a seatbelt, car seat or booster seat.
