More than 26 millimetres of rain fell in Tuesday’s storm. So far this year, the city has seen more than 571 million litres of combined sewage overflows. The heaviest overflow came on June 24, when 55 millimetres of rain helped push more than 324 million litres of waste water into the city’s waterways. Officials say 213 million litres of overflows ended up in the waterways between April and November last year. The Canadian Press Print Group 8 LinkedIn LI X (Twitter) logo Facebook Print Group 8
