Inattentive driving is linked to more collisions on Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)-patrolled roads so far this year than speeding and alcohol/drug-related collisions combined, the police service reported on Tuesday. Since Jan. 1, 2017, driver distraction has been reported as the primary cause in 6,360 road collisions, the OPP said in a press release. A New Brunswick court recently addressed a rarely litigated exclusion in liability policies, which are meant to ensure an insured’s intentional conduct does not attract coverage.
