Provincial police spokesman Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says some drivers have had to abandon their vehicles on the roads because they weren’t able to continue through the water. He says others had to be rescued from their flooded-out cars. Schmidt says drivers should be particularly careful when they see flooding, because it’s hard to tell whether there’s potholes or barriers underneath the water. Fire officials in Toronto add that the safest option is to stay home. The Canadian Press Print Group 8 LinkedIn LI X (Twitter) logo Facebook Print Group 8
