BrokerLink capped off 2025 on a strong note with four acquisitions in Alberta, the brokerage reported before the holidays.

The deals, effective Dec. 1, include Excel & Y Insurance Services/Lundgren & Young Insurance, AUVI Insurance Brokers Corp., Sceptre Pointe Insurance Limited and Derek Agencies Ltd. (operating as Bentley Agencies).

“These acquisitions expand BrokerLink’s Western Canada footprint, and each location reinforces the company’s dedication to local service and strong community connections in unique ways,” BrokerLink says in a press release.

Excel & Y/Lundgren & Young Insurance has served Calgary and surrounding communities for more than 40 years. “Its brokers are known for providing expert advice and comprehensive personal and commercial coverage,” BrokerLink adds.

The family-owned brokerage offers personal property and auto, commercial auto, commercial property, liability, business interruption and crime insurance, as well as recreational insurance (motorcycle, recreational and luxury vehicle, and travel insurance), according to its website.

For its part, AUVI Insurance has built its business on trust and referrals from loyal customers for 18 years, BrokerLink says. Its insurance offerings include home, auto, commercial, rental, tenants, recreational, motorcycle and travel insurance.

Calgary-based Sceptre Pointe Insurance says it’s guided by the slogan, ‘big city broker, small town feel.’ Founded in 2016, the brokerage offers a variety of home and commercial insurance, including classic car, tenant, watercraft, contractor insurance and surety bonds, among other offerings.

And, Bentley Agencies has served the Alberta town of Bentley since 1974, offering “tailored insurance options with true small-town service.” Its policies cover home, auto, antiques, farms, commercial insurance, motorbikes and recreational vehicles.

Deeply rooted in the community, Bentley Agencies also supports local events, like the Bentley Rodeo, BrokerLink reports.

Throughout 2025, BrokerLink continued to grow in communities across Canada. It is one of Canada’s largest property and casualty insurance brokerages, with more than 200 branches and 4,000 employees.

Last year, BrokerLink also expanded into a new province: British Columbia. That acquisition involved Schill Insurance, one of the province’s largest brokerages, with 11 locations spread across the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. Schill offers home, auto and business insurance, with specialties in construction, automotive dealers, residential realty (strata), private client (high net worth), marine, and travel insurance, among others.
