A.M. Best affirms ratings for Old Republic Canada

A.M. best has affirmed ratings for Hamilton, Ont.’s Old Republic Insurance Company of Canada.

The insurance company has a financial strength rating (FSR) of “A” (excellent) and issuer credit rating of “a.”

Best also affirmed ratings for various other United States subsidiaries of Old Republic International Corp (ORI), based in Chicago.

“The ratings of Old Republic Insurance Company of Canada are based on its excellent risk-adjusted capitalization and solid operating performance as well as the synergies it realizes as an affiliate of Great West,” Best noted in a statement.
