Alberta-based Horizon Adjusters joins Crawford & Co. Canadian operations

Crawford & Company announced Wednesday that the management and adjusting team of Horizon Adjusters Ltd. has agreed to join Crawford’s Canadian operations effective Aug. 1.

Bea Boutcher, president of Grande Prairie, Alta.-based Horizon, her team of five all-lines adjusters and a support staff team will all be joining Crawford Canada.

The group has more than 60 years of combined experience in handling all lines of insurance claims in northern Alberta and northern British Columbia, according to a statement from Crawford.

“This move is in line with our growth strategy in Western Canada and helps to complete our coverage and network in the region,” said Pat Van Bakel, CEO of Crawford & Company (Canada) Inc. “We are thrilled to welcome Bea and her group to the Crawford team.”

“We are excited to have access to the breadth of resources that Crawford can offer to our existing clients,” Boutcher added. “We look forward to a smooth transition and to building new and lasting relationships.”
