Audatex adds Volkswagen and Audi to VIN identification technology

Volkswagen and Audi vehicles are now available on Audatex North America’s ‘AudaVIN,’ a vehicle identification technology solution.AudaVIN uses vehicle identification number [VIN] data to give insurance claim representatives, appraisers and collision repair estimators complete vehicle-specific information recorded by manufacturers on the production line. “With more options and packages than most other automobiles, luxury vehicles can make the damage cost calculation or total loss valuation process more intensive and error prone,” an Audatex release says.”AudaVIN addresses these complexities, going beyond alternative VIN decode technologies in the market to provide accurate vehicle-specific information in seconds and deliver reductions in inspection time.”
