He joined the company in 2022. Before joining Aviva, Dhillon was vice president of RSA Canada. After the company was acquired by Intact Financial Corporation, he worked at IFC as vice president of corporate finance. He was also previously a senior manager in E&Y’s insurance advisory practice across North America and Europe. Dhillon’s appointment as Aviva Canada CEO follows Garrad’s decision to return to the U.K., where her family lives, the company says. She was CEO of Aviva Canada for two years. The changes, subject to regulatory approval, are effective immediately. Aviva has commenced a search for a new permanent CEO. “Nav has considerable experience [in] the Canadian insurance market and Aviva, and we are pleased he is taking on the CEO role whilst we conduct an internal and external search for a successor to Tracy,” says Amanda Blanc, Aviva plc’s group CEO.
