Canada Post’s epost digital mailbox allows users to conveniently manage their financial documents in one place with one login and one password. The Centre for Study of Insurance Operations – which last month announced eDelivery, a solution that allows broker and insurer members to leverage CSIOnet and eDocs to deliver personal lines policy documents to insureds through epost – has said that more than 9 million consumers have an epost account. Besides providing the option to receive policy documents online, the new service allows Aviva Canada to reduce its carbon footprint and help achieve its “goal of being a carbon neutral insurer,” Aviva Canada said in a press release. “By partnering with epost, we have the ability to offer customers a safe, convenient and free way to receive their home and auto insurance policies online,” said Debora Hendrickson, Aviva Canada’s senior vice president of customer & marketing, in the release. Receiving insurance policies online reduces clutter and keeps documents in a single, secure location, Aviva Canada noted. Canada Post uses an advanced encryption technology to ensure the security and privacy of anything sent through epost. The service also gives convenient access to policy documents anytime, anywhere through smartphone, tablet or computer. Aviva Canada customers with home and/or auto policies can sign up for epost. Policies underwritten by Aviva Insurance Company of Canada, Traders General Insurance Company, Scottish and York Insurance Co. Limited, S&Y Insurance Company, Pilot Insurance Company and Elite Insurance Company are included.
