Belairdirect now offering home and auto insurance in British Columbia

Online insurance company belairdirect announced on Thursday that it is now offering home and auto insurance services in British Columbia.

“This is a very exciting day for belairdirect, our employees and our customers,” said Henry Blumenthal, vice president of sales and operations for belairdirect’s Western region. “Since joining forces with Canadian Direct Insurance (CDI) in 2015, we have been working together to leverage our strengths in order to offer our customers the best experience in the market. We’re happy to offer more choices to consumers, including the benefits of combining both home and auto insurance.”

By leveraging CDI’s local team, belairdirect B.C. customers will receive the same level of service and continue to work with the same local licensed insurance agents they have developed relationships with, the company said in the release.

According to the release, products can be personalized to best suit customer needs. Product offerings and services include:

• 24/7 ability to start a claim;

• Roadside assistance program, where the client can call and belairdirect takes care of arrangements, eliminating the wait for receipt submissions and reimbursement; and
• belairdirect’s “accident forgiveness” promise that, if applicable, a customer’s insurance premium will not increase due to the first two at-fault car accidents.

Certain conditions, limitations and exclusions apply to all offers, belairdirect noted, and accident forgiveness and roadside assistance are available with applicable endorsements only. Insurance products are provided by Belair Insurance Company Inc. in British Columbia; services are provided by belairdirect Agency Inc.
