Belfour enters Quebec market with acquisition of Laurier Restoration

Belfor (Canada) Inc. has acquired Laurier Restoration Inc. Laurier is a Montreal-based restoration contracting firm owned and operated by Ian Thomas. Thomas will remain with the company as branch manager of the Montreal location. He said he is committed to growing Belfor’s presence within Quebec. “I am excited about the opportunities that are available to my staff and I,” Thomas said in a press release. “Our commitment to service excellence is well-suited to Belfor’s primary focus of the customer being first.”The acquisition provides Belfor with an opportunity to enter the Quebec market. Belfor operates 33 full service restoration locations across Canada with more than 1,200 employees. Belfor Canada’s parent company, Belfor Holdings Inc, operates the largest restoration group in the world with 255 offices in 29 countries.
