Business as usual for Cities of Toronto, Ottawa after earthquake

The Cities of Ottawa and Toronto are reporting little damage in the aftermath of a magnitude 5.0 earthquake that shook buildings in both areas.The City of Ottawa, closer to the epicenter of the quake, issued a statement listing only two city-owned buildings that were closed for repairs, one of which is to be re-opened on June 25 (the Greenboro Branch of the Ottawa Public Library).The City of Toronto issued a statement saying: “In our initial assessment, there has been no major damage to city infrastructure. Further investigations are taking place to confirm…”The city has received no calls concerning bridge, building or other infrastructure problems.”
