The list from executive search firm Waterstone Human Capital recognizes 10 companies in each of several revenue categories for their corporate cultures out of hundreds of nominations. The program’s 40-member board of governors, which includes top executives from many leading organizations across Canada, voted on the submissions in early November. In the “enterprise” category (revenues above $500 million), Munich Re was among the firms recognized, alongside other major brands such as Starbucks and Home Hardware. In the “mid-market” category (revenues between $100 million and $500 million), Canadian Direct Insurance was among the 10 firms recognized. Meanwhile, in the “growth and small cap” category, which includes firms with under $100 million in revenues, Mississauga, Ont.’s Pinchin Environmental was among the organizations recognized for their culture.
