Canadian insurance firms among those recognized for most admired corporate cultures

Munich Re and Canadian Direct Insurance were among the firms recognized as having the most admired corporate cultures in the country.

The list from executive search firm Waterstone Human Capital recognizes 10 companies in each of several revenue categories for their corporate cultures out of hundreds of nominations.

The program’s 40-member board of governors, which includes top executives from many leading organizations across Canada, voted on the submissions in early November.

In the “enterprise” category (revenues above $500 million), Munich Re was among the firms recognized, alongside other major brands such as Starbucks and Home Hardware.

In the “mid-market” category (revenues between $100 million and $500 million), Canadian Direct Insurance was among the 10 firms recognized.

Meanwhile, in the “growth and small cap” category, which includes firms with under $100 million in revenues, Mississauga, Ont.’s Pinchin Environmental was among the organizations recognized for their culture.

This year marked the 10th anniversary of the Canada’s 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures program.
