The Atlanta-based firm is “creating new and stronger strategic TPA hubs in Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia,” Crawford stated in a press release Monday. Broadspire specializes in servicing the claims needs of multinational corporations and their captives, brokers and insurers. Broadspire’s “worldwide services” will include auto, property, business interruption, product recall, marine and transportation, Crawford stated in the release. “This global service provides greater control over the claims process, indemnity spend, data capture and access to meaningful management information.” Other worldwide services from Broadspire will include: accident and health; employer’s, public and product liability; personal injuries; rehabilitation and return to work; travel, warranty and affinity; and uninsured loss recovery. According to the release, Broadspire will provide central global account management and control with deployment throughout a network of more than 700 offices in over 70 countries, with the capability of handling claims in more than 150 countries. In a filing with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission in February, Crawford noted that Broadspire provides services through three lines: workers’ compensation and liability claim management; medical management; and risk management information services. Crawford’s services in Canada are “comparable in scope and offerings” to its U.S. property and casualty operations, the firm added in its SEC filing. P&C services in the U.S. include property claims management, casualty claims management and vehicle services. Crawford also manages a network of residential and commercial contractors, called Contractor Connection. In its SEC filing, Crawford noted that Broadspire provides both claims and risk management services to self-insured clients and commercially insured clients. Services include field investigation of claims, initial loss reporting services for claimants and medical bill review. With the expansion of Broadspire, clients “will be able to utilize private Web portals to access claims data allowing them to identify claim trends to better manage risks, control costs in the claims process and protect their brand and reputation,” Mike Reeves, executive vice president for Crawford global markets, said in the release.
