Deloitte, Gigwalk partner to offer companies more timely and actionable data

Deloitte Consulting LLP and Gigwalk have formed an alliance that will enable real-time collection of data to support immediate and actionable analytics data regarding key activities in the value chains of client companies.

By leveraging new innovative techniques, such as crowdsourcing, the alliance means Deloitte and Gigwalk will be able to provide client companies with better visibility into their businesses’ operations, notes a joint statement. “The alliance enables better execution on-location, particularly at the moment of impact where consumers interact with products and services: in stores, restaurants, dealerships and other geographically dispersed locations,” the statement adds.

“A challenge that many companies have is timely visibility into actual on-location execution, versus planned execution,” notes Marcus Shingles, principal of Deloitte Consulting LLP, and a leader in Deloitte’s innovation group, notes in the statement. “Out-of-stock products in a store, missing marketing collateral in an auto dealership, long lines at a bank, or unclean areas in a restaurant — all of these issues can have a negative impact on the consumer experience, brand reputation and sales,” Shingles says in the statement.

Companies can make use of more timely, accurate and insightful data to monitor performance and take more proactive and faster corrective action,” he adds.

“Lack of visibility is an age-old problem with a simple solution: real-time data,” suggests David Hale, CEO of Gigwalk, which provides a distributed workforce management platform and mobile application. “Our goal is to help clients stay ahead of changes at their remote locations that may have a negative impact, then react quickly and turn them around to exceed customer-experience expectations,” Hale says of the alliance with Deloitte.

Gigwalk recently released a new distributed workforce management solution called “Gigwalk Enterprise” that incorporates leading analytics capabilities with location-based mobile technology to help organizations increase the effectiveness of their workforce from virtually anywhere in real time.
