Economical to begin pilot implementation of eDoc XML standard with select brokers

Economical Insurance has announced that on March 25 it will begin a pilot implementation of the Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) eDoc XML standard with select brokers.

Brokers that use Economical’s broker management systems (BMS)  The Agency Manager, sigXP, PowerBroker or The Broker Workstation will be part of the pilot. 

Upon completion of the pilot, Economical will roll out eDocs to its broker partners across the country, the company said.

“eDocs supports broker workflows in place today and drives efficiency by pushing broker declaration documents electronically through CSIO download to our broker partners’ BMS,” Dianna Fioravanti, Economical’s vice president of sales, distribution and underwriting operations noted in a statement. “Brokers who elect to turn on this option will no longer receive print copies of documents they will receive electronically.”
