FSCO issues warning notice about Kenneth Gibson, Easy Trust Group

The Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) is warning consumers that Kenneth Gibson is not licensed to do insurance business in Ontario as an insurance agent.FSCO said in a statement posted online that Gibson appears to be affiliated with Easy Trust Group. FSCO issued a separate but related warning notice that Easy Trust Group (www.easytrustgroup.com and www.applytrust.com) is not licensed to do mortgage brokering business in Ontario. “If consumers purchase insurance from agents that are not licensed in the province, they are not protected under the Insurance Act and the regulations that govern Ontario’s licensed insurance companies and agents,” FSCO said in its warning notice related to Gibson.
