This event has grown steadily since the inaugural game in 2006; this year, the six-team tournament at the Air Canada Center had more than 66 players, 30 major corporate sponsors and 300-plus spectators on hand to enjoy the hockey. The Accidental Benefits provided live music in the cozy atmosphere of the Ice Box Lounge, and musical recording artist Michael Burgess treated everyone to a hair-raising version of the national anthem. Dwight Drummond of CBC News dropped the ceremonial puck opening the tournament. Canadian sports broadcaster Gord Stellick was on hand as the celebrity MC for the evening. The event raised more than $30,000 for both charities. Canadian Underwriter Print Group 8 LinkedIn LI X (Twitter) logo Facebook Print Group 8
