With fall just around the corner and temperatures dropping, the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) donated 50 of its magenta fleece blankets to the Toronto YWCA. Earlier this summer, IBAO donated its fleece blankets to other women’s centres, including Torontobased Nellie’s Shelter and Ottawa-based Amethyst Women’s Addiction Centre. The donation was made in conjunction with an IBAO consumer awareness day held at the corner of Yonge and Eglinton Streets. “While coordinating our awareness efforts for My Insurance Shopper, we thought, ‘Why not use this opportunity to give back to the community and create awareness for worthy local causes?'” says IBAO CEO Randy Carroll. “The YWCA was a perfect fit.”
