IBAO education seminar to review auto reforms

One year into the Ontario auto insurance reforms, the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) is holding a continuing education seminar to review the highlights and the challenges associated with the reforms.Entitled Auto Reform – A 12 Month Review, the seminar will look at statistics and information from the past year, examine current issues relating to E&O and fraud and review corresponding renewal best practices.Other topics include why negative option billing can’t be used as a solution while implementing the reforms; developing new strategies to focus discussions with consumers on coverage and protection rather than price; and effective communication strategies for selling optional AB benefits.The seminar will be held in the following places and dates: Mississauga (Sept. 19), Ajax (Sept. 20), Kitchener (Sept. 26), Hamilton (Sept. 27), Barrie (Oct. 3), Markham (Oct. 4), Windsor (Oct. 24), London (Oct. 25), Ottawa (Oct. 31) and Peterborough (Nov. 1).More information is available at the IBAO’s education department at 416-488-7422 or toll free at 1-800-268-8845.
