(IBRI) has launched a new product, dubbed “fleetadvisor”, a fleet management telematics offering that uses technology from Quindell. “Fleet managers can reduce operational risk associated with fleet management, reduce administration costs and improve vehicle health,” by using the offering, according to IBRI, which is a subsidiary of the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario. Related: Calgary brokerage launches time based telematics offering for commercial fleets The offering “includes the provision of an overall driving score for each of their commercial operators to manage and understand driver behavior to improve fleet safety,” IBRI noted. “Fleetadvisor uses telematics devices installed in commercial vehicles to allow fleet managers to effectively manage fleet risk and reduce operating costs.” Data is owned by the consumer and with the fleet manager’s consent, brokers will have viewing access, IBRI also noted.
