ICLR to host basement flooding symposium

The Institute for Catastrophic Loss Reduction (ICLR) is hosting a Basement Flooding Symposium at the Toronto Board of Trade, on May 26.

The comprehensive full-day event will focus on basement flooding causes, mitigative best practices, homeowner perceptions research and the legal side of the issue, including government liability and the role of laws and bylaws.

Presenters at this one-day symposium will include:

  • city water and wastewater experts;
  • city CAOs and risk managers;
  • researchers; and
  • insurance experts.
