Intact Financial Corp. has announced several changes to its executive committee, effective Dec. 1.

Louis Gagnon, currently president and COO will become president of service and distribution. In his new role, he will oversee the development and the expansion of the company’s direct operations – belairdirect and Grey Power- as well as the expansion of its proprietary distribution network, Intact said. He will also continue to lead IFC’s claims activities and its international business development initiatives.

Mark Tullis, currently CFO and senior vice president, will become executive vice president of governance and capital management.

In the new role, Tullis will be responsible for the development of an integrated approach to the company’s oversight functions, Intact said. He will also oversee IFC’s finance, compliance, legal and audit activities and will assume greater responsibilities in the strategic management of the company’s capital by overseeing its investment management activities.

Louis Marcotte, currently senior vice president of strategic distribution, has now been appointed senior vice president and CFO.

Marc Pontbriand, currently president of direct to consumers distribution, will retire at the end of the year after a successful career with Intact, while Jean-François Blais, president of Intact Insurance, will continue to lead the company’s expansion in the broker channel.
