Intact helps Raise the Roof with ‘toque yourself’ campaign

Intact Insurance employees helped Raise the Roof – a national charity focused on long-term solutions to homelessness – on Feb.8, encouraging Canadians to buy toques as part of a ‘toque yourself’ charity fundraiser.Raising the Roof has created a ‘toque yourself’ application, which allows a person to put a toque on his or her Facebook profile picture to generate awareness for the estimated 65,000 homeless youth in Canada.The app is available on www.facebook.com/raisingtheroof“We are looking to secure 65,000 acts, one of which includes changing your profile pic, to support solutions for youth homelessness,” Intact wrote in a public statement. Other acts include posting a “like” symbol on Facebook when someone ‘toques’ himself or herself, sharing links to the event, posting a status message about the event, purchasing a toque and ‘toquing yourself’ on Facebook.
