Marsh & McLennan CFO to resign

Sandra S. Wijnberg will resign from her position as senior vice president and chief financial officer, Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. (MMC) in March 2006. Wijnberg joined MMC in January 2000 to assume her current position. Previously, from 1997 through 1999, she held the position of senior vice president and treasurer of Yum! Brands, Inc. (formerly Tricon Global Restaurants, Inc.). Prior to joining Yum! Brands, she spent three years with PepsiCo, Inc., last serving as senior vice president and chief financial officer of its KFC Corporation division. Before joining PepsiCo, Wijnberg spent twelve years in investment banking. Michael G. Cherkasky, president and chief executive officer of MMC, says the Company is disappointed Wijnberg is leaving as she has been an asset throughout the “recent challenging months for MMC.”Cherkasky adds that MMC has begun to search for a replacement for Wijnberg but that she will remain with the Company through the reporting of its results for the current year.Wijnberg says, that now that MMC is recovering from its recent challenges, she will explore the next stage of her professional career.
