The ILS Introduction to General Insurance (ILS IGI) program is now accredited by the Insurance Council of Saskatchewan, notes a statement from ILScorp, a provider of insurance and financial services education and training. “We listened to our students and examined the current learning environment in Canada,” Ken MacRae, president and CEO of ILScorp, says in the statement. “We found that students had very limited options in obtaining their Level 1 insurance salesperson licence,” MacRae says. “Students who have taken the ILS IGI so far have all commented on the broad-based information included,” adds Todd Hochban, president of West Coast Training Ltd., who has been providing insurance licensing training in Saskatchewan for more than 23 years. The ILS IGI was first launched in British Columbia in January 2012 and accredited in Manitoba in May 2012. Canadian Underwriter Print Group 8 LinkedIn LI X (Twitter) logo Facebook Print Group 8
