Nova Scotia broker association recognizes achievements of industry professionals

The Insurance Brokers Association of Nova Scotia (IBANS) recognized the accomplishments of its members and other property and casualty insurance professionals at a gala dinner in Halifax. The 2011 recipients and the categories they were recognized in are as follows:• Volunteer Service Award: Bonnie Smith (Macdonald Chisholm Trask Insurance);• Client Service Award: Stephen Zwicker (Salvatore Insurance Brokers Limited);• Young Broker of the Year: Sean Murray (W.C.L. Bauld Insurance Brokers);• Insurance Representative of the Year: Lynne Gerhardt (The Dominion of Canada); and• Brokerage of the Year: A.P. Reid Insurance Stores Limited.”We received the greatest number of nominations this year, recognizing industry leaders whose qualities best represent the value and commitment of all our member brokers and industry partners,” said Karen Slaunwhite, IBANS executive director. “All have made a positive difference in the insurance industry and wider community by their efforts.”
