PACICC to offer enterprise risk management seminars this fall

Property and Casualty Insurance Compensation Corporation (PACICC) is offering a three-part enterprise risk management (ERM) seminar to its member companies this fall.

The seminars will be held at the Toronto head office of KPMG. Members can attend in person or participate via webinar, and are geared toward senior insurance company officers who are directly or indirectly involved in risk management.

Seminar topics, dates and times include:

• Seminar 1: Essential elements of a successful ERM policy: Tuesday, September 25, 2012, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., ET
• Seminar 2: Risk appetite and risk tolerance: establishing clear guidance: Tuesday, October 16, 2012, 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., ET
• Seminar 3: Risk governance and risk management: resources and responsibilities: Tuesday, November 27, 2012, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., ET

Neil Parkinson, partner and national insurance sector leader for KPMG, will be the lead presenter, assisted by other ERM experts at KPMG. In addition, each seminar will feature a facilitated question-and-answer panel discussion involving experienced chief risk officers from PACICC member insurers.
