Two people are in isolation at a London, Ont. hospital as a precaution in case they have Ebola, published reports indicate.

The London Free Press reported that a mother and a child – who came to Canada from Guinea – were brought to London’s Victoria Hospital Tuesday night from the Kitchener-Waterloo area.

Two patients in London, Ontario have been tested for Ebola

The CBC quoted London’s medical officer of health, Dr. Chris Mackie, as saying the patients “started to have very low-level symptoms that may or may not be compatible with Ebola, but out of an abundance of caution,” they were transferred to London.

The London Free Press reported the patients have been tested for Ebola and are awaiting results.

The Associated Press reported this week that more than 9,100 have died from Ebola in Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone.
