CSIO Certification is available to member insurance companies and vendors and eDocs is the first business activity available for certification, with plans to expand the program to cover other activities. “Peace Hills implemented an eDocs program nearly a year ago, and by achieving certification from CSIO we are demonstrating our ongoing commitment to national standards and the delivery of efficiencies with broker management systems,” Harvey Schaerer, vice president of information technology for Peace Hills Insurance commented in the statement from CSIO. “By utilizing new capabilities, such as eDocs, we will continue to make improvements and create more cost effective processes for both us and our broker partners.” CSIO data exchange standards are company-neutral and help solve data compatibility issues, facilitate more efficient and seamless integration of information and improve implementation of technology solutions. “The purpose of the CSIO Certification program is ultimately to help brokers serve their customers as efficiently as possible,” Catherine Smola, president and CEO of CSIO added in its release. “We applaud Peace Hills on obtaining CSIO Certification for eDocs and demonstrating its commitment to delivering customer excellence through efficiencies such as eDocs.” CSIO says that since its launch, its eDocs standard has seen a significant increase in adoption across the broker channel. CSIO has also developed an eDocs Savings Calculator, which allows brokers to determine the daily, monthly and yearly time and costs savings gained through the adoption of eDocs.
