QBE appoints Canadian director of underwriting

QBE has announced the appointment of Valerie Jobson to director of underwriting in the company’s Canadian branch. Having joined QBE in September, she reports to David Edgar, general manager of the Canadian branch.Jobson brings with her more than 31 years experience of working in underwriting and management positions within the insurance industry in Canada. She joined QBE from Chartis Insurance Company of Canada where she was a regional executive responsible for a large portfolio of commercial property insurance.
