Robert Bentley now president of Marsh U.S. and Canada Division

Marsh Inc. announced Monday it has appointed Robert Bentley as president of its United States and Canada Division.

The New York City-based brokerage and risk management firm said Bentley will be “responsible for the oversight” of Marsh’s U.S. core brokerage, Canada, and insurance services businesses.

Before assuming his current position, Bentley had been president and CEO of Marsh’s insurance services businesses unit.

Bentley is a former chief operating officer of Risk Management Solutions Inc. and former global COO at Guy Carpenter & Company LLC, a subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies Inc. that provides risk and reinsurance intermediary services.

Bentley now reports to Marsh president and CEO Peter Zaffino. Marsh has 14 offices in Canada.
