Several highways, including the Perimeter and the Trans-Canada Highway from Brandon to Winnipeg, are closed due to the storm. Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure says priority on the roads has been reserved for emergency vehicles due to a high number of accidents. High winds and blizzard-like conditions are causing hazardous driving conditions. Environment and Climate Change Canada issued a blizzard warning for parts of southern Manitoba this morning.
