Recognizing the unique insurance needs of higher-value homes in Canada, Prestige Plus is available for single-family homes valued at $750,000 or more through all Co-operators financial advisors across Canada, notes a statement Wednesday from The Co-operators Group Limited, a Canadian-owned co-operative with more than $34 billion in assets under administration. The complete coverage package offers extended coverage and services, including the following: special coverage limits for valuables, including fine art, jewellery and wine collections; legal advice and insurance coverage administered by DAS Canada for expenses related to matters such as employment and contract disputes, legal defence, bodily injury, property protection and tax investigations; and home equipment mechanical breakdown coverage such as whole-home computer systems and high-end appliances. “We are committed to ensuring all of our clients have the right protection for their homes in case of the unexpected,” Kathy Bardswick, president and CEO of The Co-operators, says in the statement.
