Wawanesa Insurance has made their Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) XML eDocs available for its broker partners.

Via CSIOnet, eDocs can can now be automatically transferred directly into the broker management system, according to a news release from Keal Technology.

Electronic documents can now be automatically attached to the correct customer and policy in Keal’s sigXP BMS, the company said. The eDoc process uses CSIO data standards to transmit over EDI attaching an XML message to this transmission.

Using the eDocs process is part of Wawanesa’s goal to “enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of delivering products and services,” the insurer’s vice president of marketing and business development, Chris Luby, noted in the statement from Keal.

“…Brokers registering for eDocs will not receive paper copies of any policy declarations which will assist with controlling printing and mailing cost, with any savings being passed on to our policyholders which is one of the principles of a mutual company,” Luby added.

Aviva, Intact, RSA, Economical, Gore Mutual, Wawanesa Mutual, and SGI CANADA also offer eDocs to Keal clients.
