What’s New: In brief (June 17, 2005)

Desjardins Group and CGI created a strategic alliance to offer Canadian credit unions technology solutions and services. A service agreement was recently rendered with L’Alliance des caisses populaires de l’Ontario, which allowed for the implementation of Desjardins’ IT solution through Northern Ontario’s 13 committed caisses. In addition, Desjardins Credit Union also selected the Desjardins information system to accelerate its development.

Anthony Clark International Insurance Brokers Ltd. (“ACL”) has appointed Mahesh Bhatia to the position of chief financial officer. Bhatia replaces Shelley Samec, who resigned due to family commitments but is continuing with the Company as corporate controller. Bhatia joined Anthony Clark in January 2004 and has extensive experience with a number of companies, at a senior financial level.
