What’s New: In Brief (June 17, 2009)

Automobile accident victims are planning to rally and hold a news conference at Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto on June 18, 2009 to protest proposed changes to Ontario’s auto insurance benefits.Speakers at the news conference will include Ontario NDP leader Andrea Horwath, as well as representatives from the Ontario Home Care Association, the Alliance of Community Medical & Rehabilitation Providers and the Ontario Brain Injury Association.

MSB’s most recent Insurance-to-Value Quality Index has found an estimated 64% of U.S. homes are undervalued for the purpose of insurance by an average of 19%.“This is an improvement over the prior year in the numbers of homes valued adequately, while the degree of undervaluation remained essentially flat,” an MSB release says.
