What’s New: In Brief (March 01, 2010)

The Co-operators has ultimately raised $298,270 for the Canadian Red Cross in support of the organization’s relief efforts for victims of the January 2010 earthquake in Haiti. A total of $149,135 was donated personally by Co-operators employees, agents and their staff, directors, delegates, members of its community advisory panels, as well as by students who participated in IMPACT! The Co-operators Youth Conference for Sustainability Leadership. The Co-operators matched these contributions dollar-for-dollar.

Disaster Kleenup Canada Ltd., a network of restoration professionals, has added two new members, one in B.C. and the other in Ontario.The new members are:•    Hickman Mount Reconstruction (HMR) Inc. HMR is located in London, Ontario, and will serve customers in London, Strathroy, Woodstock and surrounding areas.•    ProPacific Restorations Ltd. ProPacific is located in Nanaimo and Port Alberni, British Columbia, and will serve customers in the Nanaimo, Parksville, Port Alberni and surrounding areas.
