Zurich introduces insurance product for public sector

Zurich Canada recently launched a single insurance solution for various levels of government, educational institutions and health care facilities.

Known as Public Sector Solution, the product is designed to provide a full range of coverages for all public entities across Canada, including provinces, cities, towns, townships, counties, school boards, colleges, universities and hospitals.

“When we think of (the) public sector we recognize that there is an accountability to protect the general public,” said Julie Boyd, head of public sector for Zurich Canada. “This solution sees the big picture and can include, among others, environmental, construction, marine, and automobile covers.”

In addition, Zurich Canada says it will provide customized coverage for niche exposures, such as public transit, public officials’ E&O and educators’ legal liability.
