Join us for an informative lunch and learn session on the ins and outs of Small Claims Court advocacy hosted by two adjudicators: Mr. Eric Slone and Mr. Augustus Richardson, Q. C. Hear directly from the bench on what is and is not effective advocacy before the Small Claims Court.  

 

Specific topics include:

  • Dealing with self-represented litigants
  • Evidentiary issues, including objections, hearsay and affidavits
  • Procedural Issues including advanced requests for adjournments and best practices for quick judgments
  • Best practices at trial, including exhibits, testimony and presenting arguments
