The Summit will open with a keynote from world‑renowned seismologist Dr. Lucy Jones, one of the leading voices in earthquake science and public safety.

Dr. Jones spent 33 years with the U.S. Geological Survey, founded The Great ShakeOut drill, served as Science Advisor for Seismic Safety for the Mayor of Los Angeles, authored over 100 published papers on seismology and disaster scenarios, and wrote the acclaimed book “The Big Ones: Natural Hazards That Have Shaped Us (And What We Can do About Them).”

Her decades of research and public advocacy have transformed how we prepare for and respond to natural disasters.

For the first time in 2026, IBC is fully uniting its three flagship conference tracks – Financial, Regulatory and Commercial Insurance – into one powerful event. This new, integrated format gives delegates a unique opportunity to gain insights across disciplines and connect the dots between key areas shaping the industry.
