Here’s What We Will Cover: 1) In this one-hour presentation, attendees will understand the information on how a property loss claim develops from reporting to conclusion with the involvement of a restoration contractor. The claims reporting process and communication from Insured to broker to contractor are highlighted. 2) Explanation of common perils encountered are discussed, describing the losses occurring from ‘wet and mouldy’ situations, notably, water damage due to sewer backup, infiltration, ice damming and other related losses. Subsequent mould remediation techniques are explained as are the emergency services required. 3) Specialty equipment used and providing examples of the restore process for contents are included. Quizzes and questions and answers throughout will be included. Whether you are new to the industry or a seasoned industry professional, there is always something new to learn about how weather can impact the insurance industry.
