YIPT + Broker Bash: Professional Clothing Drive

For the second year in a row, YIPT is teaming up with our friends at FIRST Insurance Funding of Canada for the August Broker Bash! Join us on August 24th at the Fifth Social Club for a special edition of Broker Bash featuring YIPT in support of two Toronto based charities: Dress For Success and Dress Your Best.

Professionals Helping Professionals Clothing Drive: How it Works
Over the weeks leading up to August 24th, we encourage you to rally a team within your office to gather clean & ready-to-wear, new and gently-used, women’s and men’s professional clothing items (please see list of accepted items below). The team who donates the most items will win a $250 gift card to Cactus Club! Don’t have a team? You can donate items on your own, with a separate prize being drawn for individual donors.

Items will be collected between 5-7 pm at Broker Bash, with the winners being announced shortly after. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU TRACK ALL OF YOUR DONATED ITEMS ON THE ATTACHED TALLY SHEET (click here to download), TO BE PROVIDED ALONG WITH YOUR DONATIONS.
PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR A LIST OF ACCEPTED ITEMS. We kindly ask that all donations be dry-cleaned or laundered and donated on hangers or neatly folded in large reusable shopping bags, or cardboard boxes. Please do not donate clothing in plastic grocery or garbage bags. Donations in plastic grocery or garbage bags will NOT be accepted.

Women’s Clothing:

• Modern two-piece suits
• Blazers
• Dress pants
• Skirts and dresses
• Dress shirts, blouses, & cardigans
• Purses and jewelry
• Professional outerwear: coats, scarves and gloves
• Dress shoes & boots

Also accepted:
• New (unopened) toiletries and hygiene products
• New (unopened) hosiery & undergarments

Men’s Clothing:

• Single breasted, two-piece suits of all sizes
• Blazers and dress pants
• Dress shirts
• Professional cardigans & sweaters
• Overcoats and spring jackets
• Professional footwear
• Belts and ties

Also accepted:
• New (unopened) toiletries and hygiene products
