BELFOR Canada near-term GHG Reduction Targets validated by the SBTi

TORONTO, ON, AUGUST 25, 2025/insPRESS/ – BELFOR Canada has recently had its near-term emissions reduction targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The SBTi is a collaboration between Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The SBTi defines and promotes best practice in science-based target setting and independently assesses companies’ emissions reduction targets.

BELFOR Canada commits to reducing our absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 42% by 2030 from a 2022 base year, and also commits that 67% of its suppliers will have science-based targets set by 2029. BELFOR Canada further commits to reduce our absolute scope 3 GHG emissions from fuel-and energy-related activities, waste generated in operations, business travel and employee commuting 42% by 2030 from a 2022 base year.
