In 2024, BELFOR Canada’s greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction target was validated by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTI), and committed the company to reduce both direct and indirect emissions while engaging its supply chain partners to set their own GHG reduction targets. The progress highlights the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and its leadership in the restoration and recovery industry. BELFOR Canada’s progress is driven by several key initiatives: Rightsizing, hybridizing, and electrifying vehicles in our corporate fleet Reducing waste disposal through innovative approaches and donations. Planning to engage key suppliers on reducing value chain emissions. In addition to internal reductions, BELFOR Canada remains committed to ensuring that 67% of its suppliers have science-based targets by 2029, and to reducing Scope 3 GHG emissions from fuel- and energy-related activities, waste, business travel, and employee commuting by 42% by 2030.
