TORONTO, ON, NOVEMBER 24, 2025/insPRESS/ – Strigberger Law is pleased to announce that Adam Fox has joined the firm, bringing 11 years of legal expertise and the rare distinction of having worked every angle of the insurance triangle: regulator, insurer, and defence counsel.

Fox joins the growing insurance coverage and arbitration/litigation practice with unique perspective, having served as a FSCO mediator, Claims Manager at a national insurer, and defence counsel for carriers in accident benefits disputes, priority battles, and tort actions. He’s essentially seen it all, mediated most of it, and defended the rest. He also makes a mean brisket, though he insists the rub recipe is more closely guarded than solicitor-client privilege.

“Adam doesn’t just know insurance law — he’s lived it from every viewpoint,” said Daniel Strigberger, founder of Strigberger Law. “His experience means he knows what mediators are looking for, what opposing counsel will argue, and which expert opinions will actually survive cross-examination. That’s the kind of insight that helps us give adjusters the strategic advice they need.”

Based north of Toronto, Fox brings deep experience in accident benefits litigation, having successfully defended insurers in everything from catastrophic impairment disputes to the eternal question of whether that treatment plan was ‘reasonable and necessary.’ His background as a FSCO mediator and Claims Manager gives him the ability to see around corners that others don’t know exist. His unique experience also gives him leverage when dealing with automobile tort claims.

“Having worked on accident benefits matters from every angle, I’ve learned to cut through complexity and focus on what truly moves a file forward,” says Fox. “That perspective lets me approach each matter strategically, whether I am navigating disputes, coordinating with counsel, or bringing a mediated, solutions focused mindset to the broader claims strategy. And while the law can still turn on a single word, experience helps keep the conversation moving toward practical and effective resolutions.”

Fox joins the firm’s expanding roster, which includes Veronica Attia (lawyer), who has progressed from decoding policy wordings to drafting her own carefully crafted coverage opinions, along with Melissa Hoving (law clerk) and Jane Segal (legal assistant), who continue to ensure that limitation periods are met and virtual hearings run without technical disasters.

Strigberger Law continues to operate from Waterloo and the GTA, handling loss transfer and priority arbitrations, coverage opinions/disputes, and complex litigation — now with even more depth in accident benefits and tort defence. And yes, Adam does make excellent ribs, not that it influenced the hiring decision. Much.
